Programme Overview

This important project was commissioned by Arval into duty of care and the associated issues for employers, particularly in light of the radically changing nature of vehicle fleets over the last decade as business has increasingly reduced non-core activities, such as fleet management, whilst also attempting to provide more flexible benefit packages for employees.

Objective

The research audience drivers who use their own car for business travel, the so-called grey fleet.

Arval wished to establish the extent this was an issue, quantify the risk for employers and determine whether their grey fleets are having a negative impact on the environment and to publish these finding to the fleet sector

Methodology:

To meet the objectives of the research, various audiences were questioned using different communication methods including face to face, telephone and online interviews

The sample totalled 405 individual responses
