Paul Steed

Paul has a varied background in the Automotive Industry. He commenced his career in the industry in Adelaide at middle management level in Dealer Fixed Operations/Sales in 1992. He managed both medium and large multi-franchised businesses, implementing standards and processes to fine tune business operations. Paul left ‘dealer land’ and joined T.U.P (The Ultimate Perspective later to become R.L. Polk Australia) as an automotive business consultant/Account Manager in 1999.

Paul became intimately knowledgeable across many facets of the automotive business. He was instrumental in developing and implementing programs with OEMs and Dealers across a broad spectrum of the business; skills based training, process and standards implementation, network planning & development, customer relationship management, product planning through pricing and specification.

Paul Turner

The founder of Alchemy Performance Development (apd group), Paul's 30 years in the automotive sector has encompassed a spectrum of roles within the industry.

As head of the research and industry division of Mitac intelligence, Paul established strong links and client relationships within the UK vehicle leasing, OEMs and motor auction sectors.

In 2003, Paul completed an MBO of their leasing sector research division of POLK Mitac to form apd which is now the pre-dominant research provided of its type to the industry, with award-winning products and services.

In addition to the research operation, Paul has overseen the growth of apd group as a major global provider of business management, consultancy and research services.

Dr Andrew Skelhorn

Andrew has more than 25 years of research and analysis, backed by a doctorate in Politics and International Relations, as well as publications in industrial archaeology, transport and travel.

Prior to joining apd, Andrew gained extensive experience in international market research, analysis and documentation, multimedia, competitor intelligence, interim management and training development whilst with leading global automotive consultancy, R.L. Polk Mitac Ltd.

He has worked with all of the leading automotive manufacturers and a wide range of leasing companies, combining extensive fieldwork, research and reporting.
