Paul Turner

Executive Chairman

Paul Turner is the executive chairman of the APD Group and is widely regarded in Europe as a pioneer in the development of online customer experience programs and business intelligence reporting. Paul has been responsible for the creation and development of APD’s award-winning customer experience platforms.

He is a keen golfer and rugby union fan as well as a regular visitor to the Isle of Wight.

Rob Whalley


Rob Whalley is our CEO and has over 30 years in the automotive and research industries. He is in regular touch with clients and manages the PR and marketing of the group. He is also the conduit for developing relations with the Leasing Broker Federation.

He held the role of managing director in a number of automotive and insight businesses before joining APD in 2015.Rob is a keen golfer and dog walker and is often seen supporting England at Twickenham whenever he can.

Andrew Skelhorn

Research Director

Andrew Skelhorn is APD’s research director and has been in research for nearly 20 years. He has the lead and oversight on APD’s research projects and programmes; ensuring they meet the highest professional standards of research. He works closely with client and third-party agencies to deliver research, as well as developing APD’s key policies and ensuring ethical procedures.

He has an interest in local history and geology, as well as organising charity events.  At weekends he can normally be found either fell running, mountain biking or wild swimming.

Kathryn Courtenay-Evans

Commercial Director

Kathryn Courtenay-Evans is APD’s commercial director and is at the forefront of showcasing the group’s capabilities with customers and prospects.

Kathryn joined the team after spells as global insight director, board director and managing director for a number of well know research consultancies. She has spent more than 20 years in the research industry. She is mum to 2 lively children and a Labrador, and collects antiques when she has time.

Karl Fisher

Operations Director

Karl Fisher is APD’s operations director and is responsible for managing the development resource to meet client programme requirements. Day-to-day his role focuses on the customer including providing strategic support, client insight and analysis and project management.

Karl worked as an internal analyst for a large car dealer group and was client information manager for the world’s largest vehicle auction group before joining APD. You will find Karl cycling in Richmond Park when he is not running after his two-year old daughter.

Imogen Coote

Data Executive

Imogen Coote is our data executive and has almost 20 years’ experience in the research sector, from managing research projects to the associated in-depth analysis and interpretation of results. In her role with APD, Imogen helps support day-to-day client requirements, including writing survey and interview scripts, reviewing and loading survey data.

In addition to working for APD you will find her juggling the demands of her teenage daughter and their cat, indoor house rabbit and Puggle (half Pug half Beagle).

Mark Gibson

Consultancy Team Director

Mark Gibson heads up the APD consultancy team and takes project lead on sales and marketing. He spent more than a decade as head of marketing for ING Car Lease and then Alphabet, and before that was marketing manager for Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions. In his spare time, you will find him at the Rec supporting Bath rugby club, or cheering on Tottenham, his favourite football club.

Ross Pridmore

Consultancy Team Director

Ross Pridmore is a director of our consultancy team and takes the project lead on finance. He has 25 years of experience within the fleet industry.  For 13 of those years he was finance director for ING Car Lease UK Limited, then moving into the role Chief Risk Officer of Alphabet after BMW acquired the ING Car Lease business.  Prior to that Ross was finance director of Masterdrive. Ross enjoys spending his spare time sailing be it aboard a yacht or racing his sailing dinghy at his local club.
